Context
Czech Scouts organisation publishes bimonthly magazine for its members filled with illustrated articles, board games & ideas on activities for children and teens 10-14 years old.
“On the trail” is a regular feature article that provides with motivational tips for self-growth and development in different areas of personal & social life.
Task:
My task is finding (and illustrating) visual metaphors to abstract matters such as making choices, facing challenges, building relationships, etc.
The illustrated examples should be appropriate to the age of the readers as well as Scout’s culture.
I set a limited colour palette for each issue usually consisting of 3-4 colours and shades + white
Illustrations are meant to be light, fun additions to more serious texts and often are giving hints to how to approach tasks described in the article
